... In her previous works Missana used to anoint the spaces, sometimes before their architectural demolition, shrouding them, emphasizing the traces of abandonment; with pigmented shadows simulating and emulating beams. In Cuerpo sutil, 2000, he creates a body of air with a mosquito net. His concern for the almost imperceptible -remember Breath at the MAC in Valdivia, 1999- leaves essential traces in the artistic architecture of his work. One of his graphic interventions in the natural landscape was made from seven marks of the displacement of the mountain range to the sea, with chalk and black reticles of pigments. Here the pareidolic marks show resemblance to the aeolian interventions of nature; a "danse macabre" in the ash. Here in Water body (16 x 16 = 256 bags of water) the aesthetic spirit of the other artists' works converges. She transforms them into liquefaction towards the deep memory of water. I remember the artist Paz Carvajal when she reflects in a letter, how 'the water runs through the exhibition (referring to the MAC of Valdivia in 1999) and creates a path that connects the different works... the path of the fluids that flow, and the smallest orifice is enough for it to permeate everything'. Water molds itself to that which contains it, regardless of its form, or the capacity of liquid it can carry, for it always preserves its horizon. Peace takes on an image in the water that rests, and the water that rests reflects the face of man in the purity of its mirror.
